UV Fusion Transfers

Our NZ Made UV FusionTransfers, are incredibly versatile, allowing you to transform everyday items into extraordinary pieces.Perfect for applications on glass, ceramic, wood, plastic and metal. Can be used on light and dark coloured backgrounds.  Interior and exterior use.

They work best on hard surfaces and can be applied to a wide range of materials like glass, ceramic, metal, plastic, and wood.

They are NOT suitable on paper, card, fabric, leather, latex, or silicone.

Our UV Fusion Transfers are water-resistant, ensuring durability even in moist conditions.

However, it's important to wash them by hand ( glassware) to maintain their quality and longevity

The initial 24 hours following application are crucial, as this is when the adhesion gains strength. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to avoid exposure to water or high temperatures during this time.

  • The initial 24 hours following application are crucial, as this is when the adhesion gains strength. To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to avoid exposure to water or high temperatures during this time.
  • Avoid touching the adhesive side of the transfer to prevent fingerprints and ensure proper adhesion.
  • Store unused transfers in a cool, dry place to maintain their quality and prevent damage.
  • By removing 1-2 cm of the backing paper and trimming it, you gain better control during the application  process. This  approach allows you to adhere the exposed adhesive section first before applying the entire transfer at once.
  • Always slowly remove the backing paper while using a squeegee, work from the adhered edge outwards. Peeling too quickly can cause lifting or damage to the design
  • We do not recommend applying to curved surfaces as it could cause wrinkles.
  • While they are durable, we recommend hand-washing for the longest-lasting results.
  • Take your time during alignment. Once placed, the transfer can be challenging to reposition.
  • Work best on smooth, hard surfaces like glass, metal. plastic, acrylic, ceramic, and wood .
  • Hand-Wash Gently: For items like glassware, hand-wash with mild soap and avoid abrasive sponges.
  • Avoid High Heat: Don’t expose UV Fusion Transfer-decorated items to high temperatures, like those in a dishwasher or microwave, as this can impact durability
  • Avoid using frosted glass.
    •

Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and clear of any debris. This will provide a strong foundation for the transfer and enhance adhesion. You can use either Isopropyl Alcohol or warm, soapy water; just ensure it dries completely.

If you opt for Isopropyl Alcohol, be sure to wait a few minutes before applying the transfer.

After cleaning and drying the surface, gently rub the back of the transfer to remove air bubbles. Cut out the transfer, leaving a small border for easier handling and positioning.

Gently peel the backing layer from one corner to expose 1-2 cm of the the adhesive side and trim it. This approach allows you to adhere the exposed adhesive section first before applying the entire transfer at once.

Align the exposed section of the transfer onto your chosen surface. Press down firmly to secure this initial area, making sure it is straight and positioned as desired.

Slowly peel away the rest of the backing paper while smoothing the transfer onto the surface using a squeegee or a soft cloth.

Work from the adhered edge outward to minimise air bubbles and creases.

Apply pressure to the transfer with your fingers or a felt squeegee for at least 30 seconds. Begin at the center of the transfer and move outward to effectively eliminate any air bubbles.

Gently and slowly lift the top film ( on the image) from one corner at a 45-degree angle to prevent any tearing, while using your other hand to hold the item steady. If any section of the design lifts with the film, lay it back down and rub firmly to secure it. Once the transfer is fully applied, smooth out any bubbles and ensure the adhesive is in full contact with the surface.
